DonateWest - Western Australian Agency for Organ and Tissue Donation

Education sessions

DonateWest offers education sessions on organ and tissue donation to the healthcare sector and the public including schools, private business and organisations. We provide presentations that range from 15 minutes up to an hour, which cover the:

  • importance of organ and tissue donation
  • organs and tissues that can be donated
  • the process of donation
  • dispelling some of the myths
  • how to register on the Australian Organ Donor Register (AODR)

Australian Organ Donor Awareness Week (AODAW)

The AODAW is held in February each year across Australia. The week aims to raise awareness of organ and tissue donation and to increase the number of people registered on the Australian Organ Donor Register (AODR). The AODAW is the perfect opportunity for Western Australians thinking about registering to be an organ or tissue donor to take action by obtaining a registration form from Medicare offices or by contacting Medicare Australia on 1800 777 203 to sign on the AODR.
